The Flower Food Company was born of a passion for great food, especially baked goods and sweet treats. But we understand that not everyone is a master chef, so we set out to make gourmet food attainable for everyone.
Here's how it all started:
A few years ago, my neighbors would beg me to make my "famous" lavender brownies. A couple of local shops asked me to supply my brownies to them so they could sell them. I passed at the time, wanting my flavors to go beyond local stores.
So, I decided to make my recipe into a mix and my lavender brownie mix was born. I began selling it at a local market and soon realized that people loved it and kept coming back for more.
That's when the dream began to take shape. I would lie awake at night thinking about all the mixes I can create- all with edible flowers. My next mix was Lavender Shortbread Cookies, then I moved on to Rose Petal Tea Cake. Soon, I had more mixes than I knew what to do with - and I'm not done. (Daisy Chiffon Cake, anyone? Stay tuned)
I began experimenting with other mixes and had soon developed a Lavender Syrup (Rose syrup is in development now!), Lavender Hot Chocolate, and Lavender Lemonade. Then, I created a syrup-based bottled Lavender Lemonade that is like no other! I even began ordering freshly roasted coffee beans from Italy and infusing them with lavender.
I first created this website so my customers at the market could order on off-market days, but then others started ordering my products. And that's how you found me.
Our website is new, but we've been making people happy with these gourmet baking and beverage mixes for years.
